Alto/Mezzo Choral Lead/Soloist Position: St. James United Church, Etobicoke (directly on the Burnhamthorpe bus line, just east of Hwy 427) invites applications for an Alto/Mezzo-soprano Choral Lead/Soloist. St. James is a warm, friendly, supportive, active, forward-thinking faith community with a culture of musical excellence, support and appreciation. Two adult choirs (auditioned Chancel Choir, non-auditioned Senior Choir with Chancel Choir as core), three leads (S+A+T) plus strong B emeritus, varied repertoire (the classics to upbeat contemporary, including some unaccompanied), and regular opportunities for solo work. Solid sight-reading skills and the ability to blend while leading the section are expected. Position open until filled.
