senior choir and Chancel Choir
The 35-voice Senior Choir provides an inclusive, affirming and educational choral experience for all teens and adults.
No audition or previous music experience is necessary—just a love of singing, a desire to grow musically and a willingness to make a commitment to the church and to your fellow choristers.
Together, with the supportive participation of the Chancel Choir members and our Choral Lead/Soloists, we achieve a very commendable standard of musicianship.
Rehearsals
Thursdays, 8:30-9:45 p.m. (September – June)
Worship Participation: Weekly (September – June)
Additional Presentations: Candlelight Carol Service (Sunday evening in December), Choir Fundraiser
(Spring)
The 25-voice Chancel Choir provides a challenging and stimulating choral experience for more musically experienced and skilled teens and adults.
Membership is with the approval of the Music Minister. Most Chancel Choir members have studied music in school or privately, and a number are themselves music teachers.
Supported by our Choral Lead/Soloists, the Chancel Choir sings a great variety of challenging repertoire, and also serves as the core of the Senior Choir.
Rehearsals
Thursdays, 7:45-8:30 p.m. and approximately alternate Sundays, 9:25-9:55 a.m. (September– June)
Worship Participation: Weekly (September – June)
Additional Presentations: Candlelight Carol Service (Sunday evening in December), Choir Fundraiser (Spring)
