Sunday School

Sunday School begins Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 10:30 am. All are welcome!

St. James uses the Rotational Model for its Sunday School Program. Every four weeks, students learn a new Bible Story. We have renovated our facilities so that children will experience four different and exciting interactive approaches each of those weeks. (An overview of the model at St. James follows.

Would you be interested in teaching in this exciting and dynamic environment? The time commitment is light, as you will be signing up to teach in one area for four weeks at a time. If you are interested, please contact the church office at 416.622.4113 and we will be happy to pass your name on to our Sunday School Coordinator, Karen.

St. James' four rotation areas are:

Creation Station. Through art, cooking, and crafts students spend time thinking about the story as they create different projects 'hands on'.

Computer Lab. We have a variety of different interactive programs to help children remember the stories they are learning.

Drama. Students will participate in skits, mini-dramas, tableaus, or they may watch a movie (with popcorn, of course) and see the story in a new way.

Games. Through interactive games, students work with the various elements of the stories and get to know each other a little better.
