Response to COVID-19

In light of the state of emergency declared by the provincial government amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, it is in the best interest of our patrons and volunteers to suspend all services.

The Food Basket is CLOSED until April 8 (or further notice).

We hope to resume services on April 8th, pending improvements regarding the pandemic and approval from government.  As the COVID-19 situation is changing constantly, please check the website regularly for any updates to our service.

 

St. James Food Basket is a food bank serving people in central Etobicoke.  Our service boundaries are Eglinton Avenue to Dundas Street West, and Kipling Avenue to the Etobicoke Creek (Mississauga border).

Hours of Operation:

Wednesdays   1:30 pm – 5:30 pm.
Full buffet meal starts at 1:30.

October 14, 2020

November 25, 2020

December 30, 2020.

First Time Registration:

Please  bring:

  • ID for each person in the family,
  • confirmation of address and income,
  • rent receipt or agreement.

Please bring your own bags to carry food home.

 

VOLUNTEERING
We depend on the work of over 100 volunteers. If you are looking for an opportunity to serve your community, and to understand the commitment required, please visit us to see the Food Basket in action.  Drop in any Wednesday between 1:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. and ask for the Volunteer Co-ordinator.
