Yoga willl again start up at St James on Wednesday evening from 6- 7 PM From Sep to June.  John Flaxman  is ready to begin the fall Yoga sessions on Wed Sept 19th starting at 6 p.m. in the root cellar.

Plan to stay and enjoy a fabulous full course lunch buffet by our superb chefs, Julia & Pete or pre-book take-out by Thursday.  Lunch is by donation. Actual cost is $15

Father’s Day Cooking class – For the Kids


Hey Kid’s…. want to get your hands messy, discover a few kitchen tricks, have a great lunch, fun afternoon and along the way learn how to make a fabulous meal for Dad and the whole family ?

Well you can do all those things right here at St James United Church on June 9th from 12-2 PM with Chef’s Julia and Pete.

In the first of a series of cooking classes aimed at the budding Chef’s in the family, Julia and Pete will have the Junior Chef’s stuffing Cheesy GIANT meatballs, Roasting, twisting and Baking Garlic Knots, whipping up Caesar dressing and building the ultimate Cheesy meatball pasta bake for their lunch that day
….all without the use of knife.

Psst…Best if you can convince them to duplicate the dish for Father’s Day for the wholefamily to enjoy.

The activities will have a ratio of 4-1 students and there are a few rules from the Chefs to keep in mind.

  1. Please wear long pants and rubber soled, closed toe shoes.
  2. Bring one clean dishtowel with you.
  3. Let us know if there are any allergies.
  4. Be prepared to ask questions and take notes.
  5. Listen to the Chef
  6. Come Hungry and prepared to have some serious fun in the kitchen


Each class will offer an introduction to kitchen safety and hygiene, cooking and baking techniques, healthy eating and plenty of stories and fun facts about where our food comes from.

All the classes will be 100% hands on and in a team building environment.

Cost $20 per youth
