Only Time Will Tell (continued)
"Wow," exclaimed the other prairie dog, "that’s a good idea, Sarah! I expect that that second entrance will be of great benefit to you.”
"Yes, it is a good thing. But only time will tell." said Sarah.
Sarah had finished smoothing out the new burrow, and was now building up the earth around the entrance to keep the rain water out. The earth around the tunnel was quite hard, and while she was digging, she broke one of her nails. This slowed her progress down. When one of the other prairie dogs saw Sarah with her broken nail, she came over and gave her a hug. "Is there any thing I can do?" she asked.
"No. I'll be all right" replied Sarah, "I'll just have to work a little more slowly." "That’s unfortunate, I expect that you will only have problems without that nail. I can help you for a little while" said the other prairie dog, "It's really too bad, the day is going by so quickly."
"Thanks. Yes, it looks like I will have to be here most of the day. I don’t know if it’s unfortunate, only time will tell." Sarah answered.
